30th Israel film festival in Los Angeles Launched with Sponsor Luncheon

Beverly Hills — The 30th Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles, which will be held November 9-23, 2016, kicked off this year’s  festivities with its annual sponsor luncheon held yesterday at the Four Seasons Hotel, Beverly Hills.   Honored at the luncheon were:  Danny Dimbort, with 2016 Israel Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award; Daphna E. Ziman, 2016 IFF Humanitarian Award; Smitty, 2016 Image Award; and Peter Bemis, 2016 Image Award.

Among those in attendance were Meir Fenigstein, Founder/Director of IFF, Radha Mitchell, Edward James Olmos, Beverly Todd, Mary Wilson, Freda Payne, Elon Gold, Avi Lerner, Consul General of Israel David Siegel, and Jay Sanderson, President, Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.


The mission of the Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles is to spotlight Israel’s thriving film and television industry, enrich the American vision of Israeli life and culture and provide an intercultural exchange through the powerful medium of film.  As an international entertainment industry event, the Festival has brought acclaim to both films and filmmakers, and has opened new possibilities for cooperation, distribution and co-production between the American and Israeli film and television industries.
