News & Updates: “Asia” Selected as Israel’s Flagship Film for the International Category at the Academy Awards in 2021
The 34th Israel Film festival, largest exhibit of Israeli Cinema in North America, opens in Los Angeles on December 13-27, 2020 online.
The Opening Night Film was “Asia”, winner of nine Ophir Awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Ruthy Pribar, and Best Supporting Actress for Shira Hass who was nominated for an Emmy Award for her role in Netflix ‘s Unorthodox. “Asia” has been selected as Israel’s official choice for the International Category at the Academy Awards 2021.
